... because kids are playing outside behind Chrysler Elementary and the guy who plays the bagpipe in Lafayette Plaisance is back.

My first Spring living in Lafayette Park, I was sitting in my home minding my own business when I heard the faint sound of bagpipe music. (Because of my Nova Scotian decent, I grew up with that sound. It moves me.) I could not image the source of the bagpipe and like a scene out of the Pied Piper of Hamlin, I was drawn out of my house attracted to the sound of the pipes. When I made it to the park, there was a bagpiper walking through the area. I stood transfixed for a good half hour. When he ended his playing I clapped and clapped. Life in Lafayette Park!
I heard it too!!! I thought maybe it was a fluke or something--I didn't realize this is something I can look forward to regularly! Ah, one of the many cool things about living here... *smile of self-satisfaction.*
